TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF BLACK PERSONNEL IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Call for Workshop Proposals

The success of prior conferences has always depended on you, our conference presenters and speakers!  We encourage you to submit a workshop proposal so that your colleagues may benefit from your knowledge and insight.  We are particularly interested in sessions that feature co-presenters, group presentations, and panels.

Proposals must be received by Friday, November 10, 2017. The limited number of workshop opportunities may necessitate an earlier deadline, so please submit your proposal as soon as possible.  The selected presenters will be notified by Friday, November 24, 2017 and must register and pay registration fees by Friday, December 22, 2017.  TABPHE does not pay honorariums or assume travel expenses or any other costs associated with presenting at the conference. Proposals will be judged on content, clarity and reflection of the conference theme.  Time allotted for each workshop is 1 hour and 15 minutes, including questions and answers.  A projection screen will be provided for each presentation.  The presenter must provide laptop and all other audiovisual equipment and materials.  We strongly encourage presenters to have presentation and handouts ready for uploading to the TABPHE website at time of proposal acceptance.

We invite you to submit your ideas, inspiration and innovative presentations that reflect the essence of this year’s conference theme, Educate, Engage & Empower: The Time is NOW!”  Please submit your proposal on one of the following (or other) topics.
