MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

As the newly elected State President of the Texas Association of Personnel in Higher Education (TABPHE), I am honored to   lead this outstanding 52-year-old organization. I am standing on the shoulders of our founders—Ivory Moore,   Erma Johnson Hadley, and The Honorable Reby Cary—who established TABPHE in 1973. Their vision and   dedication created a strong foundation that we continue to build upon today.

TABPHE is committed to supporting the professional development and growth of higher education personnel across the state.   As we navigate both current and emerging challenges, our officers, Board members, and I are dedicated to providing strong   leadership and guidance. Together, we can advance the mission of TABPHE and contribute to a stronger, more effective   higher education system.

Our members are some of the brightest, most innovative, and talented personnel in Texas higher education. It is time to showcase TABPHE’s impact! We have the skills, knowledge, and resilience to overcome challenges, and our focus will remain on ensuring that faculty, staff, and students have the support they need to succeed.

Moving forward, my plan is to strengthen partnerships with educational institutions and agencies, creating new opportunities for collaboration and shared initiatives. By pooling our resources, ideas, and determination, we can continue building a world-class educational system. I encourage all TABPHE members to engage fully, take initiative, and help drive the organization forward.

This is our time to demonstrate the strength and value of TABPHE. Together, we can honor the legacy of our founders, uphold our mission, and showcase our organization’s contributions to higher education across Texas.

Dr. Charles Leslie,
TABPHE President
