A letter from our State President

Dear TABPHE Family,

I hope you all are off to a great school year. In spite of the challenging times that we are all facing, we must keep our educational goals and students at the forefront so that we all keep moving forward.

To that end, I am inviting you to TABPHE’s 53rd Annual State Conference, March 5-7, 2026, at the Bill J. Priest Center. The conference hotel room block is with the Lorenzo Hotel in Dallas. We encourage you to go to tabphe.org and click on the conference information tab and register for BOTH the conference and your hotel room.

Because of your wisdom, knowledge, and dedication, we also encourage you to submit a proposal to share your experiences with others. TABPHE needs educators from all aspects of higher education to get involved, and the 2026 conference is your opportunity to do so. Your input may well help others who find themselves in difficult situations.

I realize that budgets are tight in higher education, and thus, you may not have the institutional support to attend the conference. I assure you that TABPHE is worth your time and effort to invest your personal funds to attend. We all need opportunities to enrich our knowledge and to feel rejuvenated. TABPHE does just that, and this conference is well worth the investment of your time and your resources.

I am so proud and excited to be the TABPHE state president. Our organization is a family that represents ANYONE who is interested in improving higher education. TABPHE represents all levels of higher education, and we serve as a voice for faculty, staff, students, and administrators working to ensure an engaging learning environment for all. We hope that you will stay in touch with us by updating your information on our website, and perhaps by joining a local TABPHE chapter. If you do not have a chapter in your area, please reach out to our V.P. of Membership, LaKisha Jackson, (Membership@tabphe.org) to perhaps start a chapter in your area.

I look forward to seeing you at the 2026 annual state conference!

Better Days Ahead

TABPHE President
